MARCO – GUYANA’S GOP HERO

WITH SUCH A SWEEPING DECLARATION MARCO HAS...

MELLY MEL ICE – MORE SHOW THAN TELL

The burning at the stake of Miss Atwell makes us wonder why the festive glee in a specific segment of the Guyanese Community as wafts of 'One Guyana' float over the political horizon...

NACTA -PREDICTION NOT POLL

Polling is not a mere statement of sentiment or is it a declaration of indulgence for a specific entity, in hope of some kind of reward.

GUYANA – RUBIO VENEZUELA

PoliticsGUYANAGUYANA - RUBIO VENEZUELA

SENATOR MARCO RUBIO: My parents lost everything – their home, family, friends, even their country. But they found something too, America

Rubio is known to be conveniently cunning.

His bio was tailored to appeal to the sensibilities that revulsed at the name Castro. Turns out, his family left by plane during the rule of Batista, not Castro.

But for Marco, Castro was the more opportune tale with that whole Soviet Alliance and Bay of Pigs failure which added some patriotic context to his family’s preference for America – and his image, as a conduit in his quest for public office.

Like many Cubans, Rubio favored the Republican Party.

It is said, theirs is an aversion to the Democrats because of JFK’s supposed betrayal and fear when he stopped the planned bombing of Cuban infrastructure, after Russia’s Kruschev threatened a nuclear response during the Bay of Pigs standoff.

But fitting in may have been his challenge since the Republican Party, with its history steeped in white dominance, segregation and race purity, was not as embracing of ‘whites’ from Cuba, whom they saw as lesser.

Whether the Treaty of Guadeloupe which ascribed ‘White’ to some Hispanics without white privilege is what made up Marco’s mind as to his ethnicity, we’ll never know.

But we do know that his driver’s license application check both boxes- Hispanic and White – which encapsulates the political straddling of Marco’s public service character, precisely.

And this is illustrated with less nuance, in his journey to America’s 72nd Secretary of State, to serve under a President he dubbed, quite provably, a DANGEROUS CON MAN with unique vulgarity.

Then, he retracted his moral measuring tape and took the position of ‘alternate values being one’s personal choice’ when he was fingered for opportunity in the Administration of the “most vulgar candidate ever”…is our conclusion.

We knew his political aspirations were becoming taller than he is.

As a member of America’s Bar Association and an officer of the country’s courts, it requires more than mere ambition to unsee Trump as a rogue and a reprobate.

It takes trampling parts of the Constitution to insist that Trump’s loss to Biden in 2020 was fraudulent and to call the investigation into Trump’s attempt at insurrection a sham.

It takes, too, the foresight of ambition to announce, before the count, that a Trump loss in 2024 would be unfair.

By then ‘Little Marco’ had already been name checked for several slots in Trump’s possible cabinet. So his ‘fine line’, ‘high wire act was Olympian’.

And he scored – but not the perfect ten.

The name ‘Rubio’ didn’t meet the MAGA specs for VP but qualified for the literal High Flying Job of Secretary of State.

Marco immediately drove a stake into the heart of USAID…America’s decades old Soft Power, since 1961, from which Guyana benefited and immensely.

He, then, completely turned on America’s Leadership positions he had championed since 2011 and reduced his Foreign Relations political IQ to match Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda… underscoring how self serving his quest for public service is.

He was a petulant player in the White House as part of the Zelinsky ‘Putin Put-Down’– erasing the diplomatic bona fides of his Foreign Committee service and the 99-0 full Senate confirmation, to be Secretary of State.

And with this refitted diplomatic persona, he landed in Guyana, talking tough to Maduro in the vernacular of Trump’s tough guy alter ego…the one that sounds like a character in Chinese B rated movie… in attempt, we’re thinking, to one- up Pompeo’s cross canyon call, five years earlier.

Guyana’s backyard is Trump’s thoroughfare. It was from our soil the deployed Pompeo declared that Maduro had to go.

It’s Marco’s turn now and, in deference to ‘Trump Tough’, he has declared an ensuing ‘very bad day’, should Maduro attack Guyana.

Hard to see tough when ‘very bad’ is as threatening as you get. But then it’s Trump, whose simplicity is an affliction.

We’ve shared all this in response to the jubilation Guyanese expressed when the US Foreign Secretary promised retribution if Maduro attacked Guyana…including the ‘GT’ arm of the Republican Party… the ones that were celebrating the incarceration of a Guyanese woman in America’s Louisiana.

And we’re curious because the ‘bully beat down’ Guyanese are salivating at the prospect of, is yet another show of outsourced force by a Commander in Chief who understands neither.

The simplistically expressed ‘bad things’ protection Guyanese are anticipating will undoubtedly come at a price.

They must know that both China and Russia have billions in investments in the broken state of Venezuela in exchange for its oil and byproducts. They must know that each of these countries is a wartime superpower with its own nuclear warheads. They must know that China’s under ‘reported’ military strength is in excess of 2 million. Russia, we’ll conceded, is reduced in strength but still has access to its nukes.

America’s Congress, with the Constitutional power to agree to war, is controlled by warmonger Trump who has no literal skin or DNA, even by relatives, in the game, only the power to scare his lawmakers, through his goon squads, into compliance. It’s conceivable, therefore, that it will yield to his ‘war break’ Trumpet.

But America’s Treasury is not capable of funding another war, even if it invokes its ‘ghost budget’.

Seemingly, American Diplomacy is never far away from oil and conflict… though some may call it strategic meddling.

The ‘geographical backyard’ designation, assigned to countries by America, makes the whole aggression/protection interplay America’s call… because it sits at the head of the economic dinner table.

We can segue, at this point, to Rubio’s ‘concussion’ ride to wherever he was going.

It’s not like (his hometown) Miami’s roadways provide a glide path to anywhere but its the demeaning of the nation that’s the point, even if he were hitting at China – America’s arch nemesis in the region – which has economic tentacles in too many country’s for its liking.

That said, the ‘bad day’ Rubio promises Maduro, comes after Pompeo said he had to go …five years ago.

War is an industrial complex for America, with the formation of several private security companies getting contracts which the Guyana government will have to pay for.

BlackWater in Iraq and Afghanistan would be informative to foresee the volume of the civilian casualties, of the outsourced war, that ‘could’ follow American intervention.

Instructive, as well, would be a look by the celebrants, of how the war mercenaries ‘interacted’ with Iraq’s oil money.

It’s always good to do a 360 degree evaluation, especially when oil, politics and the lives of American Military may be on the line.

For all those shouting “THE AMERICANS ARE COMING”, we’ll hang a ‘Buyer Beware’ sign at this point.

Would be prudent…is our thinking.

Come on and Comment.....
