Calling on a politician to resign is civic advocacy justified when the politician has lost favor, confidence and jeopardizes the existence of his own political entity as shown when the politician has been massacred at the ballot box.
Deputizing a replacement may spare him the embarrassment during the mouth to mouth combat he has championed. But it may weaken the PNC’s enfeebled position if close encounters will be fought by PNC Appointees and not Stalwarts.
