Calling on a politician to resign is civic advocacy justified when the politician has lost favor, confidence and jeopardizes the existence of his own political entity as shown when the politician has been massacred at the ballot box.
Like everything that’s done with unnecessary frequency, there’s critical loss of potency with simultaneous devaluation of the seriousness that is brought to the discourse.
